Solution

" What's the solution to this problem! "
There is no simple solution to the problem of information overload, but there are several ways to lessen the impact on your customers and get them to focus on your message.
There is just too much information for them to process
- Limit the amount of information you give to your customers at once. Instead of giving them a catalog, let them look at a page that interests them. Once they've digested that, they'll want to see more.
They have difficulty understanding the information they are receiving
- Keep it simple. Don't use words that even you don't understand. The average reading level in America is 7th or 8th grade.
Your customers don’t know where to find the information they need
- Then give it to them in a way that they can easily recognize it for what it is. Don't hide it in a mountain of flyers or in their spam inbox.
They can't access the information the information they are receiving
- Make sure that your customers receive your message in a clear, concise manner. Don't let them guess what it is you're trying to tell them.
They don’t know if the information they're receiving is accurate and/or genuine
- Develop a relationship with your customers. Give them a reason to turn to you for advice, to purchase your products. Anyone can sell pencils, but if teach them how to write with one they'll only buy them from you.
